Communities are built upon common ground, common goals, and common passions.  The San Francisco Bay Area - and especially Marin county - is home to some of the best terrain in the country, amazing vistas, and a robust running community.  The SFRC Racing Team is made up of runners of all speeds and distances: we race everything from 100 milers to cross country meets and everything in between. We are brought together by our common love for running.  Both the men's and women's racing teams meet weekly for coached track workouts in Mill Valley. Please join us for a group run, workout, or a post-run beer to learn more about our teams and meet the coaches and members.

FAQ

How much does it cost?

There is an annual fee of $50 that covers weekly track/tempo workouts coached by Mario Fraioli.

Racing singlets are sold annually at a low cost ($20-$30) if you choose to compete for the team during the XC season or in USATF sanctioned races.

Can I drop in for a workout to check it out?

Yes, come join us for a workout to see if the team is something you would enjoy being a part of. We leave from SFRC Mill Valley every Tuesday at 6pm to start our warmup, with the workout beginning at 6:30.

Who is eligible to join the team?

We welcome local runners of all distances, surfaces and speeds to join as long as they are passionate about running and can commit to being great ambassadors for the sport.  If you are currently racing with a PAUSATF team in the Bay Area, please note both SFRC Racing Teams are registered as a racing team (SFRC Racing Club, #554) and you may encounter conflicts when running certain official events.  If this applies to you, let us know and we will help you work out the details.

Is there a racing or participation requirement to join the team?

No, but like most things in life the more you put into it the more you will get out of it. We are a fun group of passionate runners who seek to continually improve our running in a team environment. If you can make the Tuesday team workout (and the monthly post-run beers) you will have a great time.
